Magento adds Page Builder tool as part of latest version

Magento has released an updated version of its powerful ecommerce platform. One part of the release is the addition of Page Builder, which will make it easier for web administrators to create great online stores in a shorter time.

Released on March 26, Magento 2.3.1 Open Source and Magento Commerce will come with the Page Builder content editing tool as standard.

That means no coding will be required to design and create engaging, powerful online ecommerce stores.

Drag and drop content creation is possible with Page Builder, while form editors make it easy to collect data.

Live previews of storefront designs are also possible on Magento Commerce, and administrators can easily change and experiment with the style of storefronts using content block editors.

Williams Commerce is a pre-release Magento Page Builder partner. This means our team of experts have been able to use the Page Builder over recent weeks to great effect.

“We are building three Magento 2 Commerce builds with the Page Builder as we speak, which will all go live in the next 4-8 weeks,” says Laura Otten, Senior Project Manager at Williams Commerce. “The Page Builder will make a huge difference for web administrators, who will be able to spin up pages with their required layout in a matter of minutes without HTML.”

A series of other updates have been introduced as part of Magento 2.3.1. This includes better support for large companies thanks to the capability to support address books that are 30 times larger.

The latest version of PayPal Express Checkout is also featured, with a modernised checkout flow and faster checkout performance. New payment options including Venmo and PayPal Credit are also included.

Updates to payment and shipping APIs have been made, while the Magento team has introduced more than 200 quality, performance and security improvements.

Updates for Magento 1, 2.1 and 2.2 have also been released, containing a host of security advancements.
