With over ten years experience in the solar sector and one of the UK’s leaders in renewable technology, Navitron has recently announced the re-launch of their ecommerce website on Magento.

Navitron was established in 2004 and since then have gone on to install systems across 10,000 households in the UK saving their customers millions of pounds and helping reduce homeowners carbon footprint from their renewable energy systems.

Navitron strive to offer the latest, more affordable eco-technologies including solar PV panels, solar thermal hot water, air source heat pumps, biomass boilers and all the parts and accessories required to maintain and upgrade the systems.

The re-launched ecommerce website signals an exciting new online era for the business.

Jack Knight, Navitron’s Marketing Manager says. “We’re delighted to have re-launched the Navitron brand on Magento. Our objective was to re-design the website to improve the online relationship with our customers and we wanted to ensure the site was designed with our customers’ needs firmly in mind. With the nature of our complex industry, we wanted to help our customers quickly find exactly what they are looking for, or help them start their journey to identify the renewable energy solutions available to them. We are delighted with the results and feedback from our customers has been very positive.”

The new website features a fresh and accessible new design that promotes the wide range of resources and renewable energy solutions available. The website offers comprehensive resource sections in the form of informational pages, downloads, FAQs and an incredibly rich forum.

Visitors are also able to browse and buy from the full range of Navitron’s products in its online shop where homeowners can also get a quick quote and book a technical survey in order to identify if their property is suitable for renewable energy.

Behind the scenes Navitron’s Magento website is fully integrated with their warehouse and accounting system bringing many efficiencies in the day-to-day management of the website.

The new website also invites businesses to register for a Navitron Trade Account where on account approval, they can log in, access trade prices and buy in bulk through a password protected gateway.

Robert Williams, MD at Magento ecommerce specialists Williams Commerce, says. “This was an exciting project for us to undertake for Navitron. We needed this website to cater to a number of different user types from homeowners, installers and commercial businesses who may be at different stages of the buying process, from starting to learn to ready to buy product. Magento is a flexible and scalable platform that is great at achieving multiple business requirements, providing not only a superb storefront to showcase products, but able to cope with complex and technical detail behind the scenes.”
