Fine Food Specialist has developed a fantastic reputation in the culinary market for both foodie consumers, caterers and talented chefs who have come to rely on Fine Food Specialists for their superbly curated range of hard to find ingredients, exceptional customer service and a reliable online presence.
The investment to move to Magento 2 further underpins their ambitious growth plans, providing a contemporary new shopping experience on a robust and secure ecommerce platform, allowing the business to confidently grow faster online.
Whilst, Magento 1 had served the business well for over 5 years., with the Magento 1 end of life deadline approaching on 30th June 2020, Fine Food Specialist owner and founder Drogo Montagu took the decision in 2019, to begin the process of building a new ecommerce store, on the latest version of Magento 2.2.3.
Having worked with the Williams Commerce Marketing team for a number of years across Paid Search, SEO and Social Media Marketing, Fine Food Specialist had no hesitation in choosing the Williams Commerce team as their partner of choice to create their new Magento 2 website. With the new site launched in June 2020, the store experience now offered to shoppers has been very positively received, with early feedback from Facebook and Instagram followers glowing. “It looks incredible! Looking forward to getting some orders in for our future catering events!”
Fine Food Specialist founder Drogo Montagu chose the full package of discovery workshops across UI and UX to ensure their new website design would be built on consumer and data insights and thereby resonate strongly with both existing and new users.
“The site looks fantastic and I’m so grateful to all involved at Williams Commerce for getting us there and all your hard work in doing so,” said Drogo Montagu. “It’s a proud moment for me and the start of another really exciting stage for the business.”
With Magento providing the foundation in the latest ecommerce technology, Fine Food Specialist have also selected a number of important modules to support their business needs and future online growth. Third party software including Dotmailer for email marketing, Nosto for personalisation, Feefo for customer reviews and Klevu for site search were integrated by Williams Commerce. This specific combination of software partners really ups any online retailer’s game when it comes to an enhanced customer experience and are great for achieving better engagement and increased conversion.
